We are a family who decided to travel around the world with our small 46 feet (14.02 meters) sailboat, TANOOKI.
The boat was bought beginning in 2017, since then, the skipper was on the way around the world. Sometimes with the crew and sometimes without. Regularly, the whole family was aboard and spend their holiday here.
Since the end of the school year 2020, the family is a permanent crew on Tanooki. Except for the oldest son, which decided to stay at home and have an eye on our home in Germany.
The plan is to bring the boat back home in European waters, and the crew will stay as long as possible.
I was born 1972 in Austria, and lived with my family more than 25 year in Bavaria, Germany. Therefore, I love to drink beer.
My learned profession was tool and diemaker, later I worked more than 20 years as IT professionals. With knowledge in cooking and paramedics I am responsible more or less for everything aboard but with my professional crew all stuff can be done easily.
I was born 2003 in Germany, actually finished with my school. To be aboard been not really my preferred decision, but someone has to care on my dad that he is doing things correctly. Additionally, I help my sister to do her homeschooling.
I was born 2010 in Germany, I am happy to be aboard. Currently, I am doing homeschooling for the high school. I like to play piano, which I practice a few times per week. Like diving and swimming around with my brother.
I was born in Thailand, when exactly nobody has to know. To be aboard being the stupid idea of my crazy husband. I like to cook and eat Thai food and if it is spicy, then all good.
My main responsibility is to get my husband under control and care my kids.

The name Tanooki is coming from a Japan raccoon, which is also the nickname of the youngest crew member
